Sea History
projects
Since the dawn of civilization, humans have been drawn to the sea, fascinated by its vastness, power and mystery.
The National Maritime Historical Society is the national voice for America’s maritime heritage—helping to raise awareness of our nation’s history and the role seafaring has played in shaping the United States of America along with the rest of the world.
Our mission is to preserve and perpetuate the maritime history of the United States and to invite all Americans to share in the challenging heritage of seafaring.

Discovering Sea History
W Design assists the National Maritime Historical Society to publish their quarterly magazine, Sea History on their website. Posting members-only access to the publication for the most recent two years. While the public is free to browse the other nearly 200 issues showcasing stories of everyday sailors past and present, as well as updates on exhibits at maritime museums, sail trailing, archaeological finds, and more.
Each issue of Sea History includes several articles for Kids. Part of the Society's mission is to foster the learning of maritime history and careers in the generations to come.
W Design built a sub-site called Sea History 4 Kids to bring excitement in the journey of learning.
